The Cracker Creek Museum of Mining receives many donations but perhaps one of the most important of these next to the Monighan itself, is the motor that will power the dragline. This motor required several hours of work at the museum in Sumpter last summer to bring it to life.

The Monighan motor finally roars to life after several hours of effort to fix the bugs. The next task will be to get the motor up to where the Monighan waits patiently in the brush about a mile away from the museum grounds in Sumpter.
